BILSTEIN-Equipped Teams Dominate the Top Five GTD Class at the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship’s 52nd Rolex 24 At Daytona!
After a fiercely competitive effort at the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship’s Rolex 24 At Daytona, BILSTEIN equipped teams take three of the top 5 positions in the most competitive GT Daytona (GTD) class! Notably, more than 40% of the GTD class was equipped with BILSTEIN’s Modular Damping System (MDS).
Proving the quality and endurance of BILSTEIN products during this 24-hour race on a 3.56-mile combined road course, the BILSTEIN-equipped #45 Flying Lizard Audi R8 LMS driven by Canache Jr./Pumpelly/Pappas/ Winkelhock placed second, the #58 Wright Motorsports/Snow Racing Porsche 911 GT America driven by Snow/Heylen/Seefried placed third, and the #35 Flying Lizard team’s Audi R8 LMS driven by Neiman/von Moltke/Latif/Albuquerque placed fifth in the GTD class. The BILSTEIN-equipped Aston Martin Vantage factory effort driven by Mucke/Turner/Lamy/ Stanaway/Dalla Lana took eighth place in the GT Le Mans (GTLM) class.
With independent damping force adjustment in rebound and compression stages and the wide spectrum of individual adjustment options this produces, the MDS from BILSTEIN provides the prerequisites for successful motorsport. With ten clearly discernible clicks from one (soft) to ten (firm), the high-performance damper system can be adjusted in the ideal manner to the demands of various racetracks.
“After a successful conclusion to the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Rolex 24 At Daytona, we’re thrilled to report BILSTEIN MDS-equipped teams taking three out of the top five positions in the most competitive GTD class,” says Director of Motorsports, Scott MacDonald. “We’re excited to be providing the teams on track support in 2014 and look forward to more winning results.”
BILSTEIN congratulates all of the teams on their outstanding performance.
